June 2015 Owns and operates a Bar in Breckenridge Colorado named Brooklyn Tavern & Billiards.....stop in for a beer anytime ALL classmate from WJ66 Hope to be able to arrange to come for 50th as my mom still lives in Gaithersburg. more later Bill .................................... (Dated 10 years ago for the 40th reunion so old info) Bio from: Bill Barr email him at bill@williambarr.com I will not be able to make the reunion but here is my story: After graduation, went on to college. BS in math from Allegheny College and MS in Computer Science from U of Illinois. While at Illinois, met my wife of 34 years, Rhoda. Worked for almost 30 years in NJ with Bell Labs and successor companies (Bellcore and Telcordia Technologies). Took early retirement in 2001 when the telecom industry collapsed. Have been working since then as an independent IT Management Consultant (work stuff is at http://www.williambarr.com). When Rhoda lost her corporate job in 2003, we realized we could live anywhere we want to - and NJ was no longer high on our list. We chose Breckenridge, CO. Our mantra: Went to NJ for the jobs, stayed for the schools. Now the jobs are gone, the kids are gone and so are we. We have two children: James (25) and Ron (21). They are both out here in Breckenridge now. James graduated from Allegheny College in 2005 and came out here for a year before graduate school. He is still here - we will see. Ron is a professional snowboard instructor so we expect him to stay in the high country for quite a while.

Following college (Oberlin) and law school (Stanford), I spent about five years as a junior lawyer at a large commer-cial law firm. I then spent about 10 years as the in-house general counsel of an international jet broker/dealer (much more interesting - details supplied on request). That led to a multi-year affiliation with a boutique DC firm doing aviation work. When its senior partners retired, I did aviation work on my own.
An aviation client is now involved in complex litigation, requiring frequent business travel. Bottom line: if I'm in town, I'll attend. If not - unfortunately - I won't be able to.
Over the years, I have communicated with Bob Kerr and Harriet Broder. Several years ago, I had an enjoyable conversation with Jane Jacobs (Luckom).
I congratulate Tony on his career accomplishments, and Tom on his work to make the reunion a success.
P.S. to Tony. My historic role as the "2nd Cockney" in "My Fair Lady" (2 lines) was the apogee of my performing arts experiences.

Gregory Bayor
![]() ![]() We are sad to report that Greg passed away on July 29, 2023. Please see the "In Memoriam" section for an obituary and a place to add tributes. Lots of fun reading all of your lives; congrats. After WJ went to Temple on a free ride as dad was a Dean, pledged A E Pi (apparently 4th Gentile in US at that time, big sports house they needed a right tackle) got all D's, Dad said it didn't look good to him and besides time to leave nest. Finished at University Baltimore (Board of Governors and Past Pres of Alumni) played on UB's nationally ranked soccer team and Division one Lacrosse (the big boys MD, Navy, Air Force,NC, etc. killed us, but we were ah scarppy; not). Those that remember my limited JV football skills at WJ probably saying how did he do that? During UB years paid my way through working on golf courses (mowing greens, not a caddy thats too hard and no place to goof off), which helped me land with the City of Baltimore hiring me to fix two of their golf courses, from there to City of Rockville Supt. of Parks then Director for 11years (Doug Duncan - Mayor), then Elgin Il (from rich city to POOR city) then Duncan becomes MoCo County Exec and brings me back for 12 years (it really was Camalot built many Rec Centers and Pools), then Ike "reitred" me and Baltimore City called again. Three years in Charm City without being wounded and Tampa recruited me. I asked Mayor Buckhorn (Florida's next Governor) "so you are offering me a raise and paying for my move, and I get palm trees, I am in". This is where I retire with my wife Gini of 39 years (no idea how she survived). Hit here at perfect time; Tampa is leading the south in developement 4.5 Billion in permits in the past 18 months, which translates to parks, pools, and centers underway. Mayor played played lacrosse for Penn State so he wanted it here; he got it, we have many teams in the poorest part of town, look out florida kids are coming. And another taste of Maryland underway; two synthetic turf field with the Cal Ripken Senior Foundation, and yes in the poortest part of town so these great kids can play on the same fields as the prep schools have. Been blessed to back into a career due to screwing up in first college and working my way through second that somehow translated to this, Thats my story and sticking to it. PS. I'm the one with hair in the "now" photo, the guy photo-bombed in, no idea who he is? |

Childhood and high school were tumultuous times in my life as I desperately tried to deal with (and hide) my dad’s alcoholism. High school activities and friends were therapeutic, and my best friend’s family and home became a refuge for me. While most of my high school peers went on to college and incredible accomplishments, my 20s were lost in a relationship filled with drugs and domestic violence. At 30 my life was transformed by the birth of my first daughter and an encounter with the living God. Several years later I married again and we had 2 more beautiful children. My family, faith, and friends have been the most important part of my life. My resume is unimpressive, but I have given back over the past 15 years by facilitating domestic abuse and codependency groups at a Christian recovery ministry. Recently, I’ve been a part of a nonprofit startup in Ijamsville, MD, CrossRoads Freedom Center, which offers a second chance to men (and eventually women) struggling with life issues And, as a footnote, I’m going to college and am 12 credits short of my BS degree! |
