I've been in Rye, NY since 1971. I sold the family home in Kensington in 2006 so haven't been back too much since then. I am a Real Estate Broker with Sotheby's International in Rye and that keeps me quite busy. I have one Grandchild, Virginia, 2 1/2 . Life is so much fun with her. I am lucky enough to have 3 of my 4 children in NY and the 4th one is in Boston which is an easy trip. As my husband and I are both still working I don't know anything about retirement and probably never will. I look forward to seeing everyone in 2016!

After graduating from WJ, I went to work for the Montgomery County Division of Highway Engineering, where I conducted tests on procedures and materials used in highway construction. When I received my draft notice, I joined the Marines, in which I served one enlistment, including a tour in South Vietnam. When released from active duty, I attended the University of Maryland, during which time I met my wife, Monica. After undergraduate school, I went to the University of Maryland Law School. I spent the next 12 years as an Assistant State's Attorney in Prince George's County, where I prosecuted a wide variety of criminal cases. Needing a new job after my boss was not reelected, I went to work for the General Counsel of the Navy and was assigned to the Naval Sea Systems Command, where I litigated personnel action appeals and provided legal support in the acquisition of submarine combat systems and surface ship defense systems. After 10 years there, I was reassigned as the general counsel for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service ("NCIS," but not to be confused with the TV show), where I remained for 19 years until my retirement in September 2015. We live in Crofton, Maryland, near Annapolis. Since my retirement, Monica and I spend much of our time with our 2 daughters, Laura and Amy, and their husbands and children. Grandchild #6 is currently on the way. Although retirement is great, I might need to find some kind of job to stay busy.

From the 40th reunion:
I taught school at Takoma Park Middle School, in Maryland, for eleven years and then I moved to Arizona. I taught at Rio Rico High School until 2007 when I retired. I subbed for a year but my mom's health took a turn for the worse so I stayed home and took care of her until her death this last March. I now take care of my 3 horses, dog and 2 cats. I volunteer at the local no kill Animal League and when the heat is no longer a factor I'll volunteer a local horse rescue.

Retired from Frederick County Public Schools

After working 25 years with the Frederick County Public Schools, in Frederick, MD., I love being retired. I stay very busy. I have a circle of friends who I am active with and at times wonder how I ever had time to work. I volunteer at a local Title I elementary school, am active in our church, love to spend quality time with our six grandchildren (5 granddaughters and 1 grandson) and love having time to travel with my husband of 48 + years. We are fortunate that our sons and daughter-in-laws and their families live close by so we are able to see them often. I feel that being a wife, mom, and most of all a grandparent are the greatest gifts life can offer. I feel very blessed.
