Linda Lee Mitchell

Linda Lee Mitchell

Our friendship was elementary. Linda lived one block over on Glenridge Street in Kensington. We went to different schools, but Linda would come around periodically as I was part of a large family and she enjoyed the constant activity.

In ninth grade we both attended Kensington Junior High which is no longer on the map. KJH was, at the time, a feeder school to Walter Johnson.

Between friends cultivated in Kensington, and then expanded at WJ, we were part of a very amazing group. Therefore, our desire was to be truly elite - not that we were - but we wanted to be - so when the time was right, we all were searching for a name.

Linda's claim to fame (in high school) was her colligate dictionary search for the name of our group. She found it! And, to this very day, the Esoterics are united in friendships. We breathe life into one another as we meet again, and leave again, and move on in the destination of our lives, give thanks with a grateful heart. This life is a gift, and I was called to visit Linda when she was in hospice. I shared with her the gift of God, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
